Intention Healing

Here is what Marlen, Tom’s owner, wrote me six days after our Intention Healing for Tom:

It seems to me that particularly since the weekend, Tom has showed greater signs of wellbeing. He is more lively, expressing his old mannerisms more strongly, trying to jump in circles like he always did when he was happy, even running across the street in a big gallop, even if ever so briefly. He is eating more willingly greater amounts of food. Saturday his weight was up by 0.3 lb to 45 lbs from 10 days prior. I’m feeding him as much as possible and will see what his weight will be a week from today. His vet is happy about his muscle mass. long as he is improving or remains stable. He was first diagnosed May 22, 4 weeks ago. Before getting sick, his weight was always around 52 lbs.

The attached image is from last night. He keeps walking as long as I let him. It’s just me who is afraid of over exhaustion.

Tom is an alert and  strong  Canaan dog. An active and youthful fifteen,  he is very well cared for and deeply loved by his owner, Marlen.

Marlen adopted Tom and his brother Jerry when they were stray puppies in Hong Kong. Tom lost Jerry in March of this year, and since then his health has suffered.

The vet has diagnosed Tom with cancer of the prostate.

Howie, the five-year-old female Bearded Collie, has a painful bladder stone. In this Intention Healing we’ll help cure Howie of her bladder stone so that she and her owner, Sharon, can enjoy many more years together.

Howie is beautiful, sensitive, and a champion in the show ring. I’ve met her personally, and I can assure you that she’s a doll.

I asked many you to help heal the eyes of my horse Snow Blessed (aka “B”) in a previous article about Healing with Intention. My plan was to set aside five minutes a day for twelve days to help heal his Moon Blindness, cataracts, and Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

Here’s what happened during our intention healing:

The healing intention started on Monday, December December 10, 2012 and continued until the solstice on December 21. At the beginning of the healing intention the whites of B’s were as red as Christmas stockings. And, by the second day of the healing, his left eye had swelled up as if he had been boxing with one of the other horses. But every day  a group of people and I stayed faithful to the healing intention, setting aside five minutes at 12:25 PM Eastern time to say the the following words over and over:

The eyes of Snow Blessed are healthy, clear, and healed, now and across all time.

We added banamine in his grain to reduce the inflammation, and kept up with the intention. Over the twelve days his eyes began to clear, and his spirited heart began to return. He grabbed the corner of my coat to dump the carrots out of my pocket, and rubbed his white head hard against my chest. One night I spent two hours cleaning the mud from him after he rolled in the field — we listened to Christmas music together as I brushed him and then did Tellington Touch, which he loves.

On the night of the Sacred Solstice of 2012 (December 21), my daughters and I visited B at the barn. I walked up to his stall and looked through the bars on the stall door. He lifted his head, six inches from mine, and looked into my eyes.

His right eye was as white as a cup of milk. And part of his left eye had cleared up just as well, only the right corner of that eye still red from the spot of carcinoma. I smiled at him and he seemed proud of himself. The he backed up and kicked the stall wall, impatient for his carrot.

I put him in the indoor arena, where my daughters and B played “Guess where the peppermint candy is hidden?” I laughed at him, and laughed at my daughters, so thankful to have all three on that cold, windy evening.

Healing him this way is as natural to me as breathing. I don’t know how his eyes will fare in the long run, but I believe in the power of intention, and in the power we all have to heal with our hearts and minds.

And in this work he comes as my teacher.
